kitchen is complete!

keith has worked so hard on completely re-doing our kitchen, and this week it is finally finished! it looks amazing and feels like a brand new kitchen. keith did the cabinets, floors, back splash, faucet, and painted himself and we had a new counter installed this week. eventually, we will get a new stove but for now, i couldn't be happier!!

36 weeks, last belly pic?

well, the doctor told me not to go to work anymore, to make sure my bag is packed, and to install the car seat. this may be the last belly picture we take! the nursery is ready, we have enough clothes to last him a week or so, and diapers all set. i think we're as ready as we're going to be!

35 weeks

well, we're 5 weeks from our due date and are slowly, but surely, getting everything ready. i don't think we will ever feel completely ready, but we're excited to meet our son. lucy enjoys laying in the room while i'm in there putting things away.

we had a doctor's appointment today and she confirmed that the baby has indeed dropped, but she doesn't think it means he will be coming too soon. she did, however, tell us to pack a bag to be ready.

33 weeks

apparently, jackson went through a growth spurt over the last couple of weeks! i'm starting to feel gigantic. i can't believe we are only 7 weeks from our due date. it seems like so long ago we found out we were going to have a baby and it seems like time has flown by at the same time.

we got the new dresser/changing table yesterday and it's been really nice to start putting everything away and seeing the room come together. now to start on the laundry...we have a sonogram scheduled for tomorrow morning, so i'm sure there will be a new picture soon!

29 week sonogram

here's our latest picture! it's getting more difficult to get a picture with jackson's whole body. the technician said he weighs about 2.5 pounds, right on track!

kitchen, belly, and new niece!

keith has been working very hard over the last 2 weeks in the kitchen and has gotten all of the cabinets stained and the walls painted. here's the before

we still want to redo the counters and the floor, but so far we are very happy!!

as far as the belly goes, we are now at 28 weeks and officially in the 3rd trimester! it seems like the first 12 weeks went by so slowly and now i feel like the next 12 will be over before we know it. we are so excited to meet our son.

our new niece was born today!! anna louise and mom are doing very well. i can't wait to meet her, too!

colorado trip

keith and i were able to take one last trip to colorado before the baby is born a few weeks ago. we are so fortunate to have such generous family and friends and we got so many great things for jackson. it was great to be able to capture a picture of erica and i with our baby bumps. i can't believe their little girl will be here in just 5 weeks and our little boy will be here in 13! we have some work to do...

we made a trip up to the mountains to see jen, jake, and jameson but had to cut the trip a little short due to a stomach bug going around. luckily, keith and i never got it, but we didn't want to take any chances. instead we were able to spend a day in breckenridge thanks to jason and erica. breck is truly one of our favorite places to go, and we always have a great time while we're there. it was also nice to be able to spend the day together as i'm sure those days are going to be few and far between pretty soon. 

since we have been back, keith took on a kitchen renovation project. it's going to look great once it's finished. i will post kitchen and nursery pictures as soon as they get closer to being complete!
