colorado trip

last week, i got to go home for thanksgiving and spend some much needed time with family and friends. i got there on thursday and (finally) got back on monday night. saturday, a family friend gave me a shower and i had such a great time and am so thankful for the love and generosity everyone has. i'll save everyone, including myself, the embarrassment of posting pictures of this one.

sunday was spent snowed in at mom's house :) i can't remember the last time i was actually snowed in and didn't have a place to be. the entire day was spent in my pajamas and i loved it.

mom and i decided to build her hearth and fireplace, which involved laying plastic and wire, mixing concrete, and cutting bricks.

i have to say, it turned out really well, except the brick cutting...we'll leave that to someone who knows what they're doing.

we accomplished so much for the wedding over the weekend and i feel much better about all the preparations. only 38 days to go!!
