ch-ch-ch-changes

okay, i'm bored. but there are some exciting changes happening here in new york! first, i start class again this coming wednesday. i'm taking 3 classes, so i'll be busy for sure, but it shouldn't be too bad (famous last words).
secondly, i got a new position at work! for the past 3 months or so i've been working as a research assistant and it's been a great experience. i've gotten to learn how to administer psychometric tests, hook people up to electrodes and watch their brain activity, draw blood, and really just learn the ins and outs of conducting research. over the next month, i'll be transitioning over to become a clinical research coordinator. the new position will be a great change for me in many ways. i'll still be learning about each new study in great depth, but i won't have to do all the 'dirty work', my schedule will be steady 9-5 instead of the crazy 16 hour days i've been putting in, and i'll be getting benfits. plus, it fits well with my school schedule so i can keep a full time job and still go to school. i will basically just be making sure that everything during the study goes well and that everything is recorded properly. sounds easy enough, but i've seen the other coordinators running around at times, so i know i have my work cut out for me.
this weekend has been a great opportunity to relax and get ready for everything coming up. miss everyone back home and i hope everything is going well. a couple more weeks and i'll be an aunt!! can't wait!
