school's out!!
sorry, i know it has been a long time since my last post, but finals and all the end of semester hoopla has been overwhelming. finals have passed, and i've had 2 days to breathe, so all is better now! i feel pretty good about all of my classes, but it's hard to know until i actually get my grades. one of my classes, psychopathology 2, was by far my most difficult, but it was also my most interesting. i'm taking another class with the same professor over the summer, and i've been assured that it's much less stressful. i'll believe it when i see it! for the final, i filled an entire blue book front to back and still didn't have enough time to complete the exam. it was horrible, but no one else really finished either, so that makes me feel better!! luckily, i had friends around to help me celebrate.
last weekend, keith and i went up to westchester for his aunt's wedding
and we had a great time. it was a really pretty day and with keith's cousins around, it's impossible not to have fun.
see mom, shoes were totally worth it :)
as far as jobs go, my professor emailed me a couple of good contacts at hospitals that i'm going to call and hopefully get into a research position over the summer. the tutoring is going really well. i like the people i'm working with and it gives me a nice break from reality a few hours each week. none of the kids are there for more than 2 hours and i'm usually not there for more than 4 hours, so it works out pretty well!
i wish i could see everyone at home. there is so much going on and it's really hard to be so far away, but i love the phone calls and pictures; i don't know what i'd do without them!! so please, keep them coming and know that i'm thinking of all of you. oh, and if you haven't seen the update...jason and erica are having a baby girl!! so i will have a niece come september!
hope everyone else is doing well, i love being updated!! erin, formerly ruth :), has recently moved to the great east coast so i hope to see her very soon, and keith and i are planning a weekend in june to head down and see jen's house to visit with her and jake for a little while. i would say come visit me, but new york won't be great again until about september, so unless you like 95 degrees and 100% humidity, i would recommend staying in the dry climates! miss you all!!!
