colorado trip!!

i know it's taken me a long time to get this up, but i haven't been able to get the pictures from my laptop to my desktop...overall, we had such a great time!! the beginning was a little shaky, and the ending could have been better, but everything in the middle was fantastic! we ended up getting to denver and to a hotel around 3am sunday morning, we were supposed to get there at 10am on friday, got a couple hours of sleep, and then met up with mom. we headed straight down to grandpa's house, and the ride down was priceless. keith got to see a dirt road, for the first time, we saw a stuffed bear, antelope, buffalo, and keith got to see what 740 acres looks like. we hung out at grandpa's and had lunch and waited for jason and erica to come down and meet us. when they did, we all got some very exciting news...i'm going to be an aunt in september!! it's very exciting and i can't wait to see the new addition!
after leaving grandpa's, we went into town and met daddy, aunt noni, grandpa, and jim price for a great dinner. it was very nice to have dinner and catch up with everyone, and, i must admit, it's much nicer to see everyone more than just once a year. monday morning, we got up bright and early and headed up to the mountains. we skied for a few hours on monday and just took it easy. tuesday trevor came up to ski with us and the weather was so nice out, we ended up skiing all day. thursday, i came down with the flu...needless to say, i didn't move much. keith was great and took care of me all day, and i was determined to ski our last day on friday. that didn't happen. keith got out early and skied in the morning while i slept and got ready for the trip down.
friday afternoon, we met up with jessica for a quick cup of coffee in denver. it never seems long enough, and my not feeling well didn't help, but it was so great to see her and get caught up. afterwards, we went downtown for an every shorter visit with meaghan and her boyfriend, and then started the trip back down to mom's. saturday we woke up to snow, rain, hail, fog...and then the sun came out. how i miss colorado weather. :) we got to have a great lunch with mom, phil, grannie, ted, and uncle bob to celebrate birthdays.
i guess we didn't do a whole lot of relaxing on our vacation, and i take full responsibility, but i miss seeing everyone and the visits always seem so short. for those of you i didn't get to see...next time, hopefully!!
school is going well, i'm looking forward to a little break in about a month. i'm on schedule to finish the masters portion next may!! miss you all, i hear new york is nice this time of year.
