school news!!

today i was accepted to the new school for social research and i am so excited! i've decided to leave nyu because i wasn't able to do what i really wanted there and the new school has a much better, and faster, option for me. i'll be able to start working on my phd within a year and a half or so rather than having to finish everything with my masters and then re-applying to school as i would have had to do at nyu. i went today for orientation and registration and everything, and i really like it. now i have one more week to do nothing! i could get used to this...

job hunting

for those of you that i haven't told, i quit my job a little over a week ago at the eye dr. i didn't leave in the way i would have preferred, but i think it was a good decision. i have been having trouble sleeping and dreading each day i had to go in. now i'm looking for a career in the psych field so i can hopefully start using my degree! everything else is going well, and i must admit, it's kind of nice having such a flexible schedule! other than the not making money side of it...school starts again on tuesday, so it will be nice to start getting back to normal.

our weather has been completely crazy for the exact opposite reason it has been in colorado. on saturday afternoon, i went to central park in a skirt and flip flops with 70 degree weather. this week is supposed to cool off and temps are only going to be in the 50's. winter would have been nice, but saturday kind of made me want spring!
