The Pumpkin Patch

The pumpkin patch-an annual event in our family. We walked through the fields looking for the perfect pumpkins.However, we brought along a pumpkin who was more perfect than any other in the field.

Then and Now

I spent Friday afternoon in wonderful company of a friend from high school. Amber, her husband, Jason and their adorable son, Logan were in town and made a stop at our house. It was so great to meet Logan and spend time catching up on each others lives. It happened to be a beautiful fall day. We made a quick stop to Pearl Street in Boulder. Jason referred to the maroon and gold tree behind us as "The Gopher Tree" for the MN Gophers. It seemed to be the ideal place to take a picture.

Just for fun, I found this picture of Amber and I. It was taken at our Senior Prom.

This is Colorado...

Yesterday it was in the 80's and I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Jason and I planted new bushes in the front. We were experiencing a beautiful fall day. Now, as I am looking at the window, snow is accumulating on the ground. Even more odd-it is thundering.

Grandma and Grandpa Visit

My parents are besides themselves right now. They came out to visit and to meet their first grandchild. Ashlyn is getting lots of love and snuggle time!

Surprises

We had a nice weekend. The highlight came on Friday afternoon when Jason surprised us by leaving work early . Ashlyn and I were on a walk and all the sudden I saw Jason walking towards us . Then, if that wasn't enough, I came home to a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I am very much in love with this wonderful man!

Finished Bathroom

This is our first fully finished room in the basement. The goal was the have a working bathroom and a finished bedroom for when my parents come out to stay with us. By the end of this weekend we should have the bedroom finished as well.
