20 inches!

by Erica

(click on the pictures to enlarge)

This is the dog's area. It is surrounded by a 5 ft. fence. Also, look at the blue trashcan on the far right side in the middle.

This is the pile we have in our front yard. Note, in the background is the top of our neighbors garage door.

Might as well have some fun!

Blizzard!!

by Erica

These pictures do not do justice, but here is a taste of the blizzard we are experiencing.
The snow was piled this high and we only have 1/4 of the driveway shoveled.
Under all this snow is our air conditioner. A snow drift on our roof.

A Snowy Day

by Erica

I long for days like these...

The wind is blowing.
The snow is falling.
It is 28 degrees outside.
----------so----------
I'll stay in my PJ's.
I will stip some tea.
I will curl up under a blanket

All because I don't have any place I need to be today.

The Holiday

by Erica

I rarely recommend movies. I watch them, but I ususally forget the plot by the next day. However, if you are into romantic comedies you need to go see The Holiday. I laughed out loud, I cried, I laughed again...cried again. Anyway, go see it.

Pelco Christmas Party

by Erica

We are back from California. Jason's company will fly anyone out for thier annual Christmas party. What a production! I think I heard that about 3,000 attended. They had it all-lights, decorations, Christmas music, a live band, dancing....I could go on. I brought our camera, but never took it out of my purse:( There is always next year.

For Karen

by Erica

You are my faithful blogging friend, so I thought you would get this. It would be helpful if I had your email address:)
What are you wearing to the Pelco Christmas party? I have a dress, I am afraid it will be too dressy. At this point, I am not sure I can do too much about it.

The True Meaning of Christmas

by Erica

Each of these nativities are very special to Jason and me.

This Willow Tree nativity was given to me by Jason's grandma, Reva last year. It is something that I hope to hand down to my children or grandchildren someday.

This nativity was given to us by my sister, Karisa. It is extra special as it is from Israel. She bought it when she was there on a missions trip this summer.

As life gets busy these next couple of weeks, let's make sure we reflect on why we celebrate this time of year.

Breckenridge

by Erica

I have fallen in love with the town of Breckenridge. It is simply adorable. In the winter it is covered with colorful lights and decorations. I highly recommend anyone wanting to get away for a night to go there. It is even better when it is snowing outside.

This restaurant, The Hearthstone, is incredible. It is a 120 year old victorian house converted into a restaurant. I am now craving the food that I ate there last weekend.
