Fabulous
by Erica
I was telling Jason the other day that I really cannot stand the word 'fabulous'. I thought by telling him that my annoyance with the word would go away. It hasn't. There are certain blogs that I frequent that use this word at least twice in one post. It is a trendy word if you ask me. What makes it worse is when people say, "I had a fabulous day. FABULOUS.
On a lighter note, we had dinner on Saturday night with my blog friend, Karen :) Okay, really Karen's husband and Jason work together. We found a quaint Italian restaurant in Berthoud. It was delicious. Thanks for the plumbs, Karen. I have eaten them like candy.
I had to fast today for a medical exam. I couldn't eat from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. You would have thought that I hadn't eaten for days by the way that I was acting.
School is still going well. My, what a year makes with these kids. They came into first grade not knowing a whole lot. Now, they can read and work independently. On the topic of reading, I have one student who is reading at a 5th grade level. I have 3 students who didn't pass the kindergarten text. Oh, I have my work cut out for me. When giving a spelling test, one girl wrote 'blqudi' for the word 'pet'. Hum....
The little buggers are already getting to my immune system. I have been sneezing all day and now my nose is all stuffed up.
Well, it is time to do some lesson planning. It is also time for you, Amy, to set up a blog account.
*Note* Sorry if I offended any of you 'fabulous' word users. It is solely my opinion.
