Beginning Our Life Together

Today Jason and I began our life together as a married couple. It was the most beautiful, romantic and emotional days. I often find myself replaying the entire day in my mind trying to relive some of the moments. I try to recapture the sights, smells and conversations. I am thankful for pictures which remind me of moments that went by way too quickly and moments that I didn't get to see.

The ceremony took place at 6:00 on Sunday evening. I am so glad that Jason and I had some alone time together before the pictures began. In the midst of all the craziness of the day, those 10 minutes were a time to relax, breathe and remember why we were there.

I think every bride wonders if her groom will cry when she walks down the isle. My loving groom was filled with emotion. It was so sweet to see. I hope to never forget the image sketched in my mind. I am not sure there were many dry eyes in the garden that evening. Each person that contributed in the ceremony brought about a new set of tears. I believe that we accomplished out goal to make our wedding personal and God-centered.

Only a few steps took our guests into the beautifully decorated ballroom. There was live music, food, laughing, dancing and plenty of picture taking. There was so much to celebrate. I am so thankful that God led me to to Jason. As the words that Steve and Pauline wrote and sang for us, "I am so glad I found you and I stayed."
